If you haven’t picked up your souvenirs from your cruise yet, then Grand Turk is the perfect place to do it. As soon as you port, you’ll walk into a series of super cool little shops. Since you’re in the Caribbean, you can purchase some of the most gorgeous pearl jewelry in the world. Do it. You’ll love it.
Have you seen the water in Grand Turk? I wish there were more sufficient word to describe the blueness and clearness of the water there than “blue” and “clear.” It’s absolutely stunning. If you are looking to enjoy the water in a low key environment, then hop on a kayak and get down with your bad self.
3. Scuba Dive
Like I said before, blue and clear water. That means awesome visibility. Also, did you know that Grand Turk is practically the world’s best home to the conch? I bet you will see one, two, or a thousand on your dive. If you’re lucky, you can probably pick one up on your dive and take it home. Just make sure it’s the shell, and not the living organism, unless you are planning to have it for dinner. I hear that conch is a natural aphrodisiac, so that’s cool. Really, our guide told us all about it, and it was a bit awkward, but whatevs.
Fishing is a huge industry in the Caribbean, and if you’re into the deep sea kind, then fishing in Grand Turk can be a blast. If you don’t catch anything, don’t get discouraged…remember it’s all about the adventure.
Snorkeling makes a good add on activity to any of the previous activities. If I were you, I would buy a mask and snorkel before your trip, because you’re going to need it a lot to enjoy the wonderful, warm water.
6. Eco Tour
If you want to take it easy, go on a simple eco tour. You’ll learn all about the beautiful surroundings on your nice stroll around the island. Oh yeah.
Grand Turk truly is one of the most beautiful Caribbean destinations. Be on the look out for wild donkeys, conch, and the most amazing sunsets you’ve ever seen. Oh yeah!
