Here are some things I just straight up like. Some of them will help you with travel and others will help you with building your own travel blog.
Travel Writing Resources
Bluehost*- If you are going to start a travel blog, you need a domain and hosting. Bluehost is the best for both, IMO.
Unsplash – I have been known to take a good pic here and there, but I am not a professional photographer. This site offers free UH-MAZING travel photos to use however you would like. Seriously…check out the beauty of the photo below. I didn’t even have to attribute it to anyone, and it makes my blog look awesome.
The World’s Best Automated Proofreader* – Sometimes travelers are great travelers, but not always the best writers. I recommend Grammarly if you need help with automated proofreading. They have a lot of cool free tools to help you ensure your content is ship shape.
Other Travel Blogs/Websites I Like
The Everywherist – She is funny, and I like reading her blog. I feel like we might be kindred spirits.
Trekaroo – Great resource for traveling as a family.
The Savvy Backpacker – Backpacking through Europe is one of my favorite things to do. This is the blog to read if you’re into that.
Viator.com – Wanna book a tour? Check out Viator before you do.
Roomorama* – Vacation rentals across the world.
Vacations Made Easy* – Vacation booking and planning website and tools.
RoamRight Travel Insurance* – Make sure you cover your backside when you travel. It’s just a good idea.
Half of the fun of traveling is reading on trains, planes, and automobiles, right? If you are looking for a good recommendation on what to read while you are traveling, here are my suggestions. Here are my top 5 favorite books to read on vacation. I will update these often, so you get new recommendations. I’m kind of a bookworm.
Create a travel photobook* – I create a travel photobook after each vacation. Facebook photos are good, but I like to pull something off the shelf and reminisce.
Online Photography Classes* – If you want to learn how to take good pics (which you do if you’re going to be travel writing, take a class!
